The month of June is drawing on and Barcelona Pride 2015 and Sitges Gay Pride 2015 are upon us! From this week until the end of the month, in Barcelona or in Sitges, you will be able to enjoy, reclaim, participate in and live two of the most important events of the year for the LGBT collective.
Sitges is already warming up its engines; from the 18th to the 22nd of June it will be celebrating its annual Sitges Gay Pride. Every evening during the five full days of Sitges Gay Pride in The Gay Village you will be able to hear some of the best homages to many of the most famous pop music artists, such as ABBA, Spice Girlz, and Queen!
Sitges Gay Pride’s main attraction is the Sitges Gay Pride Parade, which will begin at 5:00pm on Sunday June 21st. You have more details here.
In 2014 more than 45.000 people attended the third edition of Sitges Gay Pride, which is considered the number 1 Gay Pride event on European beaches anywhere. Undoubtedly, this year’s event will be once again an incredible and unforgettable experience. J
Barcelona Pride officially starts on June 18th with its first acts and will continue until the 28th of June.
Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th throughout The Village there will be all sorts of activities and acts, while on the Main Stage we will be able to enjoy The High-Heel Races, The Miss Drag Barcelona Pride 2015, the famous Foam Party, and shows by Ruth Lorenzo, Rebeca Moss, La Pelopony, or other famous DJs, among others.
On Saturday the 27th at 6:00pm, one of the highlights of Barcelona Pride will take place: The Pride Parade. Beginning at Parc de les Tres Xemeneies and finishing in The Village on Maria Cristina, The Pride Parade will fill the city centre’s streets with people from all parts of the world, floats, and artists, while celebrating the biggest LGTB festival in the Mediterranean.
This year, with the slogan “STOP BULLYING LGBT! NOT AT SCHOOL NOT ANYWHERE, the organization encourages you to wear a purple shirt any day throughout Barcelona Pride. More information here.
